The price tag.

Is it just me or most Sony desktops carry a hefty price tag?

I don't know why they think their computers are godsend, but they are mostly like other computers. Sony does have its good customer service and its honorable reputation with its products.

But I don't know why all of their products are so expensive...

Sony can charge higher prices because people will pay it. Sony's been in the electronics industry for a VERY long time, longer than most companies out there. They've always been held in high regard by all techies of sorts for their quality of products. This is the main reason why they can charge more. Brand recognition. You see Sony and you know it's worth it's weight.

Sony is a highly acclaimed brand and trustworthy, I also think they're prices are a little on the high side but then again theres usually a reason for it. I love the look of the new 11.1" laptop range and although they carry a heavy price tag; the mobility they allow is amazing.

Perhaps another reason why Sony are so expensive is that they produce unique things? I don't know any other companies that produce such small laptops...
