Intel or AMD?

My laptop has a 3Ghz P4, and it hasn't failed me yet. If I bought a PC, I wouldn't be sure on which one I'd get.

Which one do you think is better, Intel or AMD?

Intel or AMD?

They both have pro's and cons, and they are both in a constant struggle... it goes back and forth... one will stick it's nose out a little farther with a new development, then the other will surpass it... so on and so forth... AMD has always been a little bit cheaper though... I have an AMD Athlon XP in my desktop, and I have no complaints... If I were buying another computer, I'd have to say my decision would be based on what's in front of me... What the best deal is today, who has the better system to suit my needs and my budget... I can't really say one or the other for sure.

I agree, my view on intel is quite simply based on experience however AMD attracts me due to its prices, depends whats going at the time I suppose

Always been an Intel man.. never even considered AMD... and that does not mean they are bad, I just never looked at them as I always went with Intel. It's kinda like drinking Coke and never looking at Pepsi.

AMD vs Intel

I currently have a AMD in Sony Laptop previously I had Intel I perfer Intel... the AMD eats the batery like a little kid with candy.... OR most of us with beer:beer: ...

My vote is Intel, but it is not by much... For gaming I have heard that AMD rocks...

If you are looking for *** Cheap *** then go for AMD. BUT if you are looking for power (especially in graphics design eg. Photoshop) go for Intel.

Intel or AMD?

All the computers me and my family have had have all been Intel and they perform very well. But recently I have been attracted to AMD, as mohdsoft said Intel are more for power and I'm not really into games but more the creative side of computers so I'm sticking with Intel
