Bad developpement kits?
I read on this website that the developpement kits Sony gave the developpers aren't so good. The PS3 may have good graphics, the developpement kits are not as good as the Xbox 360 kits. A developper said that the graphics on Xbox 360 will be the same on PS3 because of these bad kits. Do you guys believe this?

Re: Bad developpement kits?
I'm not a developer, but I've tracked SDK's (Software Development Kits) quite a lot.
Before the XNA development, 360's were notoriously hard. Now even though there's the XNA (which is incredibly easy to code on), that's not suitable for a lot of higher end games, and I've heard the portability in XNA (both to other languages, as well as being DX10 compatible) is ludicrously hard. The PS3 is just sloshing through code, old style. Nothing is new, it's just like piling up a lot of pages of C++. It's a tried and true strategy, that allows a lot of options for the PS3, but doesn't facilitate indie developers, and the kit is amazingly expensive for the PS3. The Wii's SDK is really cheap, and really easy. In fact, I know someone that's messed around with a Wii SDK. Overall, they said that even though it was cheap (a couple hundred or a couple grand, I can't remember), and rather easy, it seemed to have a ceiling of what is possible with the game. My friend found it hard to imagine both high level coding, higher level 'pseudo-languages', and a lot of depth without draining the resources of the thing. He also said that although it would be easy to port TO the Wii, it would be incredibly hard to port FROM the Wii. Hence, expect a lot of games to be normal games where you just wave a wand instead of press 'B'.
