XBox issues

Are you finding you have to replace your XBox every ten months? I have had to do this for three years. Luckily, it is always still under warranty at that time. BUt, jeez, the aggrivation!

Re: XBox issues

All the friends that I had still have their original Xbox ... however I did hear stories about some random failure on some systems...

No, I have had mine for awhile now and have had no problems. I had not even heard that people had been having problems. Three times is an awful lot to have to return a system just to have the same thing happen over and over. Do they give you a brand new system or just fix the orginal one? I would have to think they are not really fixing the problem if the same thing keeps happening.

Each time it was under warranty so, they gave me a gift sertificate and I just used it to buy a new Xbox each time.

Re: XBox issues

The first one I did have to replace but Microsoft was nice enough to give me a rebfurbished one for free out of warranty. That one lasted me for years right up until i got my 360.

Re: XBox issues

I remember having my xbox out of warranty and they replaced it with a refurbished one for free. This was after telling them that I also have a PS2 and that i'd just end up using that if I couldn't get it fixed. They profit from me continuing using the Xbox software. Everyone goes home happy.
