Price of playstation 3

I was just reading that this is going to go for like 600.00. I really like my playstation 2 but to me this is just quite steep for a game system. I would really like to get the PS3, but I think I will wait just a few and see if the price drops some.

I have seen it available online for $500 but, it is still a little too much for me.

Yeah, I think it is quite expensive; having blu-ray in does make sense, but it may be hard to market.
