what games?
My husband took our Xbox and all of our games when he left me. Jerk! I don't miss him but, I miss the games. I want to get a new one and about 3 games to start with. We like racing, crashing and are a bit on the gothic side. What 3 games woudl you recommend as a basic starter set?

Re: what games?
if its on the original xbox...
fable - you can be as evil as you want (no gothic pun intended...or is there...) splinter cell chaos theory - if you dont like stealth, you will after you play this bad boy. it makes you feel badass halo 2 - its a game for everybody! supports every play style, and makes a good party, to boot. |

Re: what games?
I actually enjoyed trying to be good on Fable. It's a lot harder than being evil...
Can't help you out apart from that though, I only own a 360. Never had an original one. Though I believe Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic came out on Xbox, no? Thats another kick-ass game.

Re: what games?
Burnout sounds like the perfect game for you. Also you should look into Fable (it's not a very long game though but it can be picked up pretty cheap and the door quests add some length to the game and you can play through it a couple times without running out of different things to try). Try Need for Speed Underground, it's pretty good and is pretty long.

Re: what games?
My friends are telling me that after like 2 years the Xbox 360 will end up like the original Xbox without any games or any production, obsolete. They are also telling me that the PS3 is going to get way better games than Xbox 360 by next year. That’s making me second guess my self about if I should get an Xbox 360. So will the Xbox 360 stay as the best next-gen system and win the console war? Should I get an Xbox 360 or a PS3?

The XBox360 has already put out some major, industry changing titles, and that alone should comfort buyers of the system. If you haven't purchased either yet, my advice would be weigh the following merits: 1.) What types of games do you like? XBox360 has done a fantastic job with representing the multi player first shooter genre with games like Halo. PS3 has had more luck with platform games, such Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. 2.) What do you feel is too much to pay for a system? Xbox360, price-wise, is in the middle between Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3. Honestly, I don't know if you can go wrong with this generation of console buying, although the Playstation 3's success has yet to be proven stable, while the Xbox360 and the Wii have both excelled within their niche markets.
