favorite PS games
what are some of your favorite PS games?
i actually forgot this adventure game we used to play using the PS. it has this male animal as the main character who collects apples (like mario collecting coins as he walks) and once he gets his 100th apple, he gets an extra life. he has a partner who would be the adventurer in some stages and she gets to ride a jetski or a tiger in the GREAT WALL OF CHINA. aaargh.. i can't remember what it is. i remember we also had those 100 games in 1. they actually produced those old games from the FAMILY COMPUTER days and sold them as PS GAMES. my faves are battle city and ice climber. ![]() |

Re: favorite PS games
When I was younger and got my first playstation my first and favorite game was the original Spyro the Dragon. Now that I'm older my favorite ps games are Clock Tower: First Fear, Bust a groove 1 and 2, Um Jammer Lammy, Cardinal Syn, and still Spyro although it doesn't have as high of a rank as it used to.

beramsey, thanks for bringing the topic of spyro the dragon. i miss that game! i actually forgot i used to play that in PS. it was also one of the first games i played with it. tekken was also one of the best fighting games i played. of course, my favorite would have to be rival school. the characters and their powers are extremely funny!

2) Metal Gear Solid (sweeeet... and awesome. Dude!) 3) Bushido Blade (1 hit kill fun!) 4) FFXII (one of the best console RPGs out there) 5) Micro Machines V8 (or was it 6? anyway... 8 players!) |

Re: favorite PS games
1) Final Fantasy VII - Best. Game. Ever. (at least when it first came out!
)2) Panzer General - Worst graphics & most addictive gameplay I've seen in the PS1 3) Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Strictly speaking a PC port but I have many fond memories of playing against my friend with a link-up cable (remember those, kiddies?) 4) Crash Team Racing. It's the reason I broke my Multi-tap in a fit of rage 5) Suikoden. The original "gotta find 'em all!" NB: I'm actually assuming this thread is best PS1 games. Obviously; otherwise GTA3 would be up there.

Re: favorite PS games
I actually came into the Playstation realm after putting mileage on my N64, so my list may not be as deep as the rest of the submissions. Regardless, below are my top five games for the first Playstation in no particular order:
-Final Fantasy VII -Final Fantasy IX -Crash Team Racing -Resident Evil 2 -Castlevania: Symphony of the Night If pressed, I would venture that IX was my favorite because I valued its ability to offer a complete and consistent storyline and presentation.

Colin McRae Rally 2
You may laugh, but this was actually the best racing game ever made. Forget your Project Gotham, and the ever-present Gran Turismo. The physics were near enough to being perfect as to make no difference, the re-play value was HUGE, and there was a cheat on multiplayer with which you could shoot fireballs at your opponents. What more could you possibly want?
