Re: Playing pc games
I love playing on the computer with a controller, but I do find myself reaching for buttons that aren't the consoles controller when I switch back to those games.
I play Crazy Taxi on the computer with my PC game pad and it works really nice. My favorite PC games though are definately with just using the mouse and in an adventure. |

Re: Playing pc games
In a PC game you can put the controls wherever you like, and in the case of the older generation games, actually write your own control scripts. The mouse, joystick, controller, and keyboard combination has never been beaten for versatility and sheer number of options. I'll play some great console games, but the PC can anything

Re: Playing pc games
The gore isn't the problem in Doom3. The problem is that the lighting is so low you can't play it effectively or see the graphics. And the gameplay is, to put it bluntly, crap.
Get Half-Life 2. More scary, more fun, better looking, more advanced, better story, and more possibilities for enhacement. Plus the free copy of CSS: the finest counter-terrorism game on the market. |

Re: Playing pc games
I am so annoyed right now about Monkey Island 4 and its UN ability to use the mouse. There is an option to use a game controller. This is soooooo non Monkey Island like. lol! I prefer my mouse on these adventures and now I am stricken with using the keyboard because I have not tried configuring the game pad for it yet.
I thought about this thread the other day when I installed and initiated the Monkey Island 4. I think I jinxed myself. arrrgggg ![]() |

Re: Playing pc games
Yeah, it really depends on the genre... RTS and FPS games are easier on the PC, I think, but sports and RPGs are much better suited to consoles.
I got given FIFA07 for the PC at christmas, but it's almost impossible to play with a keyboard. I might have to try and get some kind of game controller for it, but I'm not sure if it supports them.
