How many hours of gameplay?

I was wondering how many hours of gameplay do you put in when playing any game? I would probably spend a couple of hours or so, not long, but it does go by really fast.

Re: How many hours of gameplay?

Some days I play an hour or so. Usually when I have work and errands come up, I do not get to play those days.

Re: How many hours of gameplay?

The longest I ever played was 36 hours, to beat Xaero in Quake3 on Nightmare level. (I didn't have a job then, ok?)
Most of the time I just play as long as I can get away with If I've started a game online I'll play through to the end even if I should be asleep, I don't like abandoning a good team.
Usually 3-4 hours, or however long I can escape for
If my time is limited I'll play one i can save and re-load later. Like Alpha Centauri or Quake 4. I might play an ongoing online game in which it won't make a difference when I leave, such as Medal Of Honour or Soldier of Fortune 2.

General guidelines ofc

The lastest example I can remember was beating Gears of War on Insane in a day. It was fantastic.

36 hours is a long time. How did you stay awake?

Regular caffeine infusions, 24 hours sleep beforehand, and lots of sugary tastys. Not to mention a frustrated determination to defeat him.

Re: How many hours of gameplay?

I don't really have the patience to play for too long. Maybe 3-4 hours at most.

Re: How many hours of gameplay?

Caffeine will do it. I have never played that long before. That is something else.

Re: How many hours of gameplay?

I usually spend no more than 2 hours playing a game at a time. On occassion, however, I will play for longer.

It depends on the game...usually 2-3 hours though...once it's interesting.
