Naughty Dog Goes Photo Realistic?
The Santa Monica, CA based gaming company, Naughty Dog, has uploaded a preview trailer of their newest project as streaming video on their homepage. You can view it for yourself here.
It is an interesting new direction for a company that, before this point, is responsible for such Sony Playstation 1 and 2 franchises as Crash Bandicoot and Jak. Instead of relishing in their skill at animating elastic characters, Naughty Dog has opted to take a photo-realistic approach to this yet untitled new game. Is it possibly a new Pitfall adaption?

Looks very interesting - I like the partnerships they've had with Insominiac for developing Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Daxter - very nice graphics, though. I'm presuming this is going to be Playstation 3 first?

Hmm. I dunno - looks "nice" & all that, but suffers from the fact it appears to be a shoot 'em up clone of Lara Croft. From the trailer I really can't see anything new apart from the graphics are nicer.
Naughtydog's Jax & Crash games had more character, fun and soul that this trailer. Colour me unimpressed.

i didn't see the trailer this computer is crappy, but it would be cool for nuaghty dog to try something different i guess *first post woo*

I loved the Crash games. My sons and I played them all the time. I myself thought that this looked pretty interesting. I just hope that they didn't show the best in the trailer and that the rest of it is crap. I have seen that happen before.

Well I do have to say it is one huge leap from crash and jak and daxter but I think Uncharted is worth looking at

Ive played Uncharted: Drakes fortune, beat it and It's NOT the most awesome of all the PS3 games, BUT it is very fun, worth beating again, and the game is just Great. I'd give it a 4.5/5 on rating. P.S. There IS a new crash game, but not made by naughty dog, the name is called Crash of the titans, and it kinda messes up the whole way that Crash came to be!

Yeah, I am not particularly thrilled with how the Crash franchise has been handled both production and game content wise ever since Naughty Dog sold it.
