Re: Laptop...Better gaming?
Well, I find laptops much worse - less powerful, less stable, tiny keyboard...
Personally, a desktop is normally far better for gaming, because you can get the same power for a cheaper price, often.

Laptops sacrifice power for size. You will always get better performance from a desktop. Not to mention the ability to easily upgrade the components.

Re: Laptop...Better gaming?
Admittedly, Alienware is higher end, yet they have the only respectable gaming Laptops. A comparison of a gaming laptop, and a gaming desktop, and the desktop is only $100 more.
Laptop Desktop ($100 more) Even higher end? $4000 Laptop $2000 Desktop, nearly as good. That being said, I know someone who's in the market for a gaming laptop. He's really well off financially, and he knows he'll be spending $10,000 on his laptop (you read that right), over the $6,000 for the similar desktop. If you have the money, and you want the portability you can do it, just know how much you're paying for being able to fit it in a bag.

Re: Laptop...Better gaming?
Laptops are always more expensive, more of a pain to upgrade, they are way less powerful and their peripherals suck in comparison to PC's. For the price you'd pay for a pretty decent gaming lap top you could have a top of the line desktop right with all the nice peripherals and money left over.

Re: Laptop...Better gaming?
Laptop - portable...desktop - cheaper...easier to upgrade...
Laptop - easy to be stolen(a girl at my college had her stolen two weeks ago)...with that being said you can show off your laptop... |

Re: Laptop...Better gaming?
What I feel is if your laptop configuration is higher and you have G force graphics carder means sure it is enough for play all games in your laptop.
but desktop is very comfortable to play games ,the keyboard & mouse operation are easy to access..

Re: Laptop...Better gaming?
it depends.
if you want to play anywhere, get a laptop. then you can play on the bus, in a car...or on a plane? with a desktop you can have BIG screen and the keyboard wherever you want it. Desktops are usually faster and have more ram because there is more space. it is up to you. |

Definately not. Not as much power as a desktop, and generally costs more. Also the LCD screen is bad for games with good graphics.
