Nope. The game is absolutely free to play online with the Battlenet server. Once you pay your twenty bucks or less for the game from your local retailer, you are free---in all senses---to play on or offline.

The system requirements, luckily, are also pretty little compared to the average PC/Mac game out on the market.

My husband has the game and he enjoyed it very much. There is no fee to play it.

I play by myself, I dont play with anyone else... but I've been playing it for about two years now. It's probably one of the most addicting games I've ever put on this laptop.

about 7 minutes just installed it, can't decide if I going to jump into online play now or play a bit single player first

It counts. How much experience do you have with the Diablo series? If little, playing a bit offlline first may be the best...although, with the right group of buds that willing to walk you through the basics as your group goes, I doubt you will run into much problems.

Let me know when are the most common times you would be online for that game. I wouldn't mind playing again with someone I (somewhat) know.

well I used to love the first one and I see the controls are similer which is good, the leveling system is different and interesting, is it worth it getting the expantion everyone seems to have it on battle net so there isn't many people to play with. I would love a game with you by the way

LoD is easier, but i bought cause i wanted to play a druide/assasins once, and Diablo classic is slowly dieing, whilst LoD is still fairly going

I have played diablo 2 for several years, but never on b.net... I am going to start on b.net as soon as I have bought a new computer

think I have played it for about 5 years and I begain to play expansion a month after the first day it was in the stores.

Oooh. Played it since first Diablo came out? that's a long time. Uhm. I got Diablo 2 pretty much when it came out.
