Re: First PC game?

I remember playing Wolfenstein on my PC many many years ago and thinking how impressive it was. That was the first PC game that I really got into.

Re: First PC game?

My first real video game I played was a version of battleship for windows 3.1. We were enamored with it. Who would have thought that video games would have advanced so far?

Re: First PC game?

My very first pc game was lode runner. It is a game where you run around and put wholes on floor so that those who are chasing you will be trapped there. Stick figured game but fun during that time.

Re: First PC game?

I still have some crazy old cds of these games I played back in 95, like DinoPark Tycoon, 3D movie maker, Lenny's MusicToons (this was awesome, if it worked, which was 10% of the time), Buzzy Goes to the Airport, Freddy Fish, Operation, and some weird Chex game where you fought these scary gooey monsters.

I was a pretty big PC gamer back in the day haha

My first PC game was Pong--really hot in its day.

Re: First PC game?

Haha oh man do any of you remember that game where you were a mouse and you had to trap the cats to get the cheese? I can not remember the name of it but I was always excited when I got a computer that came with it on there.
And Mah Jongg...to get a computer that had that was like a dream!
Does anyone know which computers came with these?

Re: First PC game?

The mouse and cheese one sounds vaguely familiar. It might have been Windows 3.1 or maybe 95

Re: First PC game?

I used to like to play AntRun and something to do with oil, but don't remember the name of it. It seems I remember the mouse and cheese game, too. But I don't recall which system it was on.

It was probably on Windows 95 because I don't even know what Windows 3.1 is, or which computers use it.
Anytime I got on a computer that had that game on it, you also got that weird worm game where you eat apples until you're too big and if you touch the walls or yourself you lose.

That classic game yes. It is also known as snake, although it has many incarnations (it's related to the Tron bike game)

Re: First PC game?

It's funny how the simplest games we played back in the day were so entertaining, and nowadays games are so complicated! It's nice to still see my 15 year old brother actually sit for awhile and play solitaire rather than with his GameCube.

Re: First PC game?

Wow, a 15 year old that plays solitare over the Game Cube, that's amazing!

My friend is hooked on Luxor right now, and won't even IM with me because she's trying to beat the silly game. But, when we see each other in person, forget the technology, we go for Scrabble all the way!!

Re: First PC game?

Oh haha...no he doesn't play solitaire on Game Cube, he sometimes rather plays it instead of Game Cube games. But that is definitely something I have yet to see on video gaming!
