Woman Dies After Drinking Contest For A Wii
A mum of three children died after entering a drinking water contest to win a Wii.
Jennifer Strange aged 28 was taking part in a contest to see how much water she could drink with out going to the loo, she hoped to win a nice new Wii for her three kids. Jennifer collapsed at home and was found dead in Rancho Cordov, California, just a few hours from taking part in the drinking water contest in the Radio station KDND 107.9 Jennifer was said to of died from water intoxication. James Ybarra anther contestant quit after he had five half pint bottles James said "My bladder couldn't handle it anymore." after James quit Jennifer was given bigger bottles of water to drink. One of Jennifer's friends said "She left work and said her head was hurting real bad. " "She was crying and that was the last anyone heard from her." |

I read about this the other day and tbh I laughed at it. It just goes to show the lengths that some people would go to in order to get their hands onto a gaming console, only in America would something like this take place.
There was also a case can’t remember which radio station it was that held a contest where the contestants had to sit on a block of ice the longest and the last one off won a wii, 3 of the people lost bum cheeks to frost bite!! Now that’s just ridiculous. But funny, I think if you were that desperate to get one then just pay the stupid prices on eBay instead of putting yourself at risk, pretty simple really. |

It was about 2 weeks ago or something, my lecturer was telling me about it then I just had to read the article, I’ll ask her for the link again when I’m next in class. She had the whole lecture hall laughing at it, was quite amusing, lol
