Recommended PC specs to play games
I used to setup and play games on my computer but it finally crashed, restarted and other stuff. My question is if there are any recommended PC specs to play games in your computer? if anyone can recommend how my PC has to be not to be in trouble again, I'd appreciate that.

Depends how much you wont to spead on upgrading your PC , Go for a nice processer of about 2.9 or 3 ghz , stick about 1 GB of ram in there and top it of with a nice graphics card like a Geforce 7800 or better.

yeah, and it also depends on what games you play, if you play games with a lot of detail in the graohics, buy a graphics card, if you play a FPS game, more ram and a better internet connection does help. also, when playing games, it helps to not have other programs and useless processes running, cause they also take up CPU and memory

Yep caesar is right. Nowadays a decent gaming PC should have at least 512MB of RAM (1GB+ recommended) and a ATI / Nvidia 256MB+ card. Onboard cards are horrible for FPS or any new game (unless it's a Real Arcade game or something small along those lines).
And if you plan to play online, you need at least DSL, although I'd recommend Cable. |

I have a 256 megabit video card 1.5 gigs of ram and 2.93 GHZ processor and I still cant have the graphics setting's maxed out with the newer games although with the games made from 2005 and under I can run it great. I think you can never get the full advantage graphics with the new games with out spending big $

For me personally its always a case of getting the best “bang for the buck”. Right now id recommend:
Intel core 2 duo ATI 1950Pro 256mb or the 7950GT 256mb A gig of DDRII 667Mhz RAM That should allow you to play any current game on the highest graphics settings. Don’t fall for the trick of paying hundreds more for a slightly faster processor, you wont notice a difference.

do mention your budget will definitely help fellow members help you. Also mention the
types of games you would be playing on your computer. Minimum Spec for any current game would be : Atleast a 2ghz pentium 4 or amd equivalent. Alteast 512MB ram A dx 9.0 c card i.e nvidia fx5200 and above or ati 9500 pro and above. Recommended specs would be A good single core or dual core processor One gigabyte Ram Atleast 1600pro ati card or 7600gt nvidia. Hope it clears it up a bit Regards sGeek |
