The Sims 2

I'm a little curious on weather or not any members here play The Sims 2? And if you do what do you think of the game? Also if you do play the game do you have all the extensions?

I would honestly have to say I did the samething. But The Sims 2 is totally different and they are trying to stay fresh with all the add ons. I have 4 of the 5 (If I'm not mistaking) and the Open For Business has just got me like dang.

I play that atleast 2-5 hours/day. And that's alot being I play alot of games.

Is the Sims 2 a muliplayer game or just solo like the Sims was?

Well actually it's mostly a solo player game. But it does have a section where you can play online with other players. Not the greatest feature but still ok for the sims IMO.

Yes I know exactly what you are talking about. They said they didn't see a big market for the online community. The just didn't feel like making a network. Until they seen all the other games doing so well online.

What was funny was it was already in the shops and people was buying it , few days later thay took them all of sale and told everyone that got the add on to go back to where thay got it from and get a refund , what was the point in releasing it and paying for people to make it if thay was gonna take it of the sale anyways?

I have all the Sims that’s out at the moment and play on them very little, I find myself just making houses and Sims then never actually playing the game, lol My little sister is constantly playing it though as well as my little cousin when he visits.

I think the multiplayer online option would encourage me to play it more but at the minute with just solo play available I find that it is too much of the same thing over and over, especially if you have already done it with one Sim and then want to start a new one but face the same events. :S

I haven't played the Sims 2, but in Sims 1 I always used to set people on fire. That was the highlight of the game for me lol :P

I also played the Sims Online, but the community kinda put me off. It was basically all older married woman trying to get some online action but the concept was pretty cool. When you got a job you actually worked there and really interacted with other players. It was repetitive though.

Funny if not a little disturbing lol, but then again I used to enclose then in a 1x1m room till they starved and died, but that was only if I gave the family too many members and could handle them all. I have to admit the grave stones looked pretty cool though.

I guess the sims online was too new of a concept to take off. Also if I remember correctly there was a monthly subscription fee for playing online. The main idea was to create a virtual world a lot like "Second Life" I guess.
