Final Fantasy XII controller issue
Strange thing. I get my hot little hands on a copy of FF XII and I'm all ready to go. Upon boot-up, I'm told there isn't a Dualshock analog controller plugged in. I check my plug, that's snug and reset it. Same thing, and no other games are having any issues. I haven't had an actual Sony dualshock in quite a while. I'm using a MadCatz 8016 dual force, which is identical to the dualshock other than the fact that it isn't a Sony.
Does FF XII not support aftermarket controllers? I'm gonna be hacked if I can't play XII just because my stick doesn't say Sony on it. Thanks guys. |

Hmmm, that could be the problem. I know you will definitely get that error message if you are using a PS1 control. Don't you have the standard PS2 controller though?
And it could be that they added some sort of detection to prevent 3rd party controllers from working. I mean my PS1 controller worked on a lot of games, but yet some games refused to accept it, when it worked fine on other 1s. It's all about the $$$ ![]() |
