For any of you that haven’t heard about it check it out on their website, it looks amazing. I love how ipod are finally moving onto a phone, I was suspecting that they were planning on this because they didn’t release anything big for Christmas like they normally do, sure they had the nano, etc but nothing really new to attract the Christmas market.

The site that you can see it on is http://www.apple.com/iphone/.

Take a peek and let us know what you think about it, the only problem I see with it is that it’s rumoured to cost around $600 which would be quite a dint in my wallet, lol

I think it's most likely it will be released through someone like 3 rather than apple's own broadcasting making it even more likely to be labelled as a contract phone for the first few month before it reaches pay as you go status, but of course this is just speculation because apple are secretive about their plans so no one can steal them.

yeah well, $600 dollars, i dont think i will be getting the iphone, even though it does look good and has cool smartphone features. i have too many other expenses right now to throw away half a thousand dollars on a phone, especially since my boss is paying for the one i have now.

I wouldn't get it. It's much cheaper just to buy an ipod and phone seperately - especially if you get a 2-year contract with the your service plan... then they give you the phone for free or you pay very little. I mean yeah I guess it would be convinient to have it all in one but I'd rather have the extra money to buy more games

Thumbs down

The thing about getting the iPhone is the little space it has on it. If it's supposed to be playing games and music do you think 4 gb is gonna hold up? You're already looking at $500 bucks for just the unit and I'm sure a bigger card is going to tack on at least another $200. I rather just keep my phone now and my 40 gb ipod which is 80% full.

And what happens when you break this iPhone I wonder how much a replacement plan is going to cost as Apple likes to leave you with your pockets empty or at least through my experiences with them thats what I've found. I don't know about the rest of you, but I go usually through 2 phones a year.

And alternatively, Sony is releasing something similar to this I believe called the Ace. It's a PsP updated with the rest of today's technology such as MP3 capabilties, personal organizer, camera phone, and web browser. I can't find a site to prove this, but I have heard from a few people about it and have seen a photo of it.

OH mY !
the phone looks so cool ! but at 600 $ its a lil expensive for me . i use around 2 phones a year and already own an ipod and i think geting the 2 features in one single pak that cost u a load of money isnt a really catching proposal for ma.

Though ill thhink of geting the iphone after it hits the market and then after some time when prices come down .
Ive heard too that sony comig out with similar product to counter this move by apple but its not official till now.

Thanks for the site and the info.
