I still have my Yellow, Gold and Ruby one.
I love playing them, played the Ruby one recently
The game isn't losing popularity, infact it's still in great demand, check out the latest DS (Diamond/Pearl) info HERE
5 million units in 3 months just in Japan, can;t wait for it to come out in Europe and the US

That's a shame, hopefully when Diamond/Pearl is released they'll be as popular as they are in Japan
And hopefully there wont be the idiots that say it's just for kids

I started when I young (obviously) but I still play them now and I'm 18
Each game brings somthing new with it. Obviously the basic idea is the same but there's added things in each one.

I beg to differ with you, more adults playing Pokemon than children, both the DS Diamond and Pearl and the card game. 10 million pokemon trades done on line in the past three months. The stock for nintendo is worth buying and the DS/Wii revolution is just starting. Maybe in your area you dont see it. But it is bigger now than ever before. The TV show is also doing very well if it were not, Cartoon Netwrok would not touch it. Nintendo just does well period, like it or not.

Re: Pokemon
I have to say that Pokemon started out as my favorite game to play, and it's still up there. The show used to be almost a ritual; sit in front of the tv after school, watch the show and then start homework, but they've totally ruined it now. First season for the win.
