Mouse preference

I used to play FPS's with a ball mouse, but ended up cleaning them too much to get good accuracy and went with a laser mouse. I have much better aiming, but the mouse sometimes messes up and does weird things. (looking to get a new laser mouse)

What mouse type do you game with?

I have a wireless Microsoft Intellimouse that I like very, very much. It's optical, not laser, but it works awesome for what I need and runs flawlessly..that is until the batteries decide to die right in the middle of an epic BF2 battle.

What's the difference between optical and laser? I think I might go for optical, because my laser mouse messes up every now and then and goes psychotic. The battery issue isn't good!

i use a trust laser mouse. i have found that a laser mouse used on a gaming mouse mat means very little movement of the wrist while still being able to aim and fire quickly and accurately.
