Baldur's Gate

My husband bought the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for the Game Cube because he likes the computer games so much. Well, he's finished the game, and obviously there'll be another. But that was 2003, and I can't find anything about a new one. Does anyone have any ideas as to when the next game will come out? I can't find out, and it's driving him nuts!!

Re: Baldur's Gate

Baldur's gate 2 came out on PC ages ago, and is hailed as one of the best RPGs ever made. There is also Icewind Dale, Icewind Dale 2, Neverwinter Nights, and Neverwinter Nights 2.
As far as I know, none of these games have a console incarnation, they are all for PC. Which just gives them more control and graphics options

I recommend all of them!

Amazon.com: Baldur's Gate 2: Ultimate Collection (Shadows of Amn and Throne of Bhaal): Video Games

Amazon.com: Icewind Dale Ultimate Collection: Video Games: Windows

Amazon.com: Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Compilation Pack: Video Games: Windows

Amazon.com: Neverwinter Nights 2 (DVD-ROM): Video Games: Windows

I will have to let my husband know about some of these ones. He is starting to get into the RPG's. Thanks for the suggestions.

I can't believe I've never heard of any of these, since I'm big on RPGs too! Is it easy to find in stores now? I would like to pick up a copy, and don't want to order online unless I absolutely have to.

Re: Baldur's Gate

I think my husband has all the PC games in the Baldur's Gate series, that's why he was so pumped when we found Dark Alliance for the GameCube. He also has Icewind Dale and Never Winter Nights. So, we're caught up on them. Thanks for the suggestions, though.

Re: Baldur's Gate

They're all the good RPGs developed by Black Isle and BioWare that I know of.

If you liked those games, you may enjoy Knights of the Old Republic (aka KOTOR), and also the sqeuel, KOTOR2.

Amazon.com: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic: Video Games

Amazon.com: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords: Video Games

People often enjoy the gameplay even if they aren't into Star Wars, and you don't need to any previous knowledge of Star Wars to play the game.

Re: Baldur's Gate

I know he has one or two of the Star Wars games, but I haven't a clue which ones. He'd really like some things he can use on the GameCube, more than the games the kids have.

Re: Baldur's Gate

Well, RPG-wise the Zelda games are the most popular. My personal favorite Gamecube game is Super Smash Brothers, but he might not like that
