Nintendo DS lite mod

I have a Nintendo DS lite and I want to mod it so I can play music, run emulators, and watch movies but still play all my DS games. I looked on the internet but it is all so confusing, if someone has done this could you plz tell me the easiest way to do it. Thanks!

I don't know anything about modding out a DS, but, if you are doing it in part because you wish to play Japanese-only releases, the good news is that the DS is an all regional platform: meaning, you don't need additional software to play imported games.
