Talking voip through messengers

Me and my friends figured out a way to chat between our crew, while kicking ass in battlefield2 and team fortress. Instead of using the "talk" button, we use a messenger with voice conference features and just talk while playing (using headsets). It's kinda neat, because when using in-game voip u can't talk to some people, but not others (plus we speak not only english). That's especially good for battlefield and other team online shooters.

So here's my personal review of voip calling providers.

[beyond the chart]: yahoo messenger and ICQ. Too much going on with those
3. Google talk. It's not bad, but veeery glitchy. keeps kicking you out
2. Skype. Sounds good, but those guys (without really telling you much about it) route an enormous amount of traffic through your computer when you do phone conversations, so my ping goes up to almost 300
1. Raketu. It's a very recent program, but the quality is really good, it never disconnects and the amount of bandwidth it needs is unbelievably small (I believe they implemented some kinda new p2p tech to do that).

Any of you tried similar things? Any feedback?
