Is there a post count required to have an image in my signature space? I'm a graphic artist and kind of like to show off my work in my signature space on forums. Also just kind of a little mark of the individual me for all to see.

As it stands at the moment, signatures only allow for text and url links. If pictures in signatures are something that people would like, that may be something I bring up to the admin.

The only lingering concern that has made it not a default option is the abuse it can bring about, as I am sure all of you have also noticed on other forums when scrolling through five posts takes far too long because everyone has gigantic signatures.

But, again, if some sort of image signature is something people are missing, we should be able to get something arranged.

Yes that's true. It's a bit of a turn-off when some people stick uber-huge pictures in their sigs.. it makes me not want to read their posts, lol! IMHO, signatures are important to forum posters because it gives us more personality, but let's not try to abuse this privilege. The content of the post should weigh more than sigs, right? XD

It can deffinately be a problem when sig images are to big. Best I can say is set up parameters so that pics are only allowed to be a set number of pixels wide and tall.

most of the forums i have been on have set a limit on youre signatures so they can just a decent size

yea, the sigs give the poster a bit of personality that can be expressed...i think it should just be limited to a certain size, cause i think everyone would be happier with a little freedom for expression
